Fabric

Scraps of Fabric are typically used  From objects collected overtime like old clothes or fabrics from objects and used to create quilts by sewing pieces of fabric together.

Batting

White Cotton Fabric

A product used between the quilt top and quilt backing. Typically old battered quilts where repurposed as batting in the earlier time periods. Batting now  is typically made from cotton, cotton/polyester blend, bamboo, wool, or bamboo/cotton blend.

Thread

Colorful Threads

Thread in earlier times was made with Cotton thread woven/roved together. Fibers used today to make industrial sewing threads come from Natural Fibers which come from plants or animals and are spun or twisted into yarns. Cotton is the most common natural fiber used to make thread.
